The AI moving troops into the middle of nowhere, overflodding the supply etc. Not all DLCs are needed to enjoy a nice game Research is really fun imo and so is the Production system where you need to produce the Weapons needed for your Divisions (I know duh but its actually really well made!)Īrguably the largest MP community out there They really help newcommers get into the game. WW2 is such a cool time period and its fun to actually answer strange Alt history questions like, what if France went communist and allied with the soviets? What if the UK didnt join france? stuff like that is really fun to see.
The DLCs (the big one) all bring nice reworks to the table, like the naval Rework and the upcoming Logistics rework.ĭue to the focus trees and with mods a lot of wacky stuff can happen in WW2. To be good you need to plan a lot and micro, which gives the game a very nice Learning curve, even for experienced players. From amazing mods such as OWB, TNO, R56 show how much can actually be made with hoi4. See imperator xD It flopped because of mana points and now is actually really good because they Removed it. It was my first paradox game and it really pulled me into their games, but after sometime of playing Vicky2, Ck2 and Stellaris it became clear to me that Mana points really destroy a game. I personally dont like playing EU4 anymore. Again I dont play EU4 that much anymore). Sure you can have a nice game with vanilla, but some DLCs are a must have such as Art of War and Common Sense (EU4 community pls correct me on this one. The ammount of DLCs and how many you need of them to have a good game. Sure it can be exciting sometimes to see what the opposing side Rolls but its honestly too random. Paradox I hope for the blessed 6/6/6 Ruler, pls take a look at how Imperator Rome did it. God I despise them with my soul! Its so annoying, the whole development thing, how technology and Ideas work, Manpower and so on.
Very cool Mechanic imo that enriches the Warfare in the game. Now I personally dont have much experience with them, but I have heard from friends that some of them are very well done. You have Thousands of Mods that change the game by a lot! Just like with any paradox game. I really enjoy some mechanics of the game such as: Trade, Colonialization and the HRE. The time period of the game is filled with very interesting Stuff like Colonialization, Trade Wars, The War of the Roses, The Holy Roman Empire ect.įrom 1444 till 1821 you have a lot of play time to delve into the Game. I recommend Hoi4 but I think you should understand why exactly.
